Cash budget versus disruption
Enter written quotes for transport and packing, then add the costs that fall outside the mover's work. IT setup may include cabling, reconnection and equipment installation. Include cleaning or alterations only once; remove them from fit-out if your mover already quotes for them.
The cash subtotal receives the contingency percentage. Staff hours multiplied by hourly cost appear separately as a disruption estimate. This is not automatically lost sales or an additional payroll bill: it expresses the value you assign to unavailable staff time. Do not add that amount again if your quotes already include it.
Compare a weekend move
Change staff downtime and the mover's quote together. A more expensive weekend booking can still have a lower combined planning cost if it reduces disruption. Keep both offers in the same currency and include any applicable taxes in the quoted amounts.
